SUPER MARIO WORLD ROM | SNES

Super Mario World Rom, also known in Japan as Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4, is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was first released in Japan in 1990, then in North America in 1991, and in Europe and Australia in 1992.

About Super Mario World

The game was created by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development, led by director Takashi Tezuka and series producer and writer Shigeru Miyamoto. It was the first Mario game for the SNES, and it was designed to take advantage of the console's technical capabilities. Compared to the series' installments on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the development team had more latitude. Due to hardware limitations, Yoshi is not used in Super Mario World.

Super Mario World is widely regarded as one of the best games in the series, as well as one of the best video games ever made. It has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling SNES game of all time.

Super Mario World's engaging storyline

After restoring peace to Mushroom World in Super Mario Bros. 3, Mario and Luigi decide to spend their vacation with Princess Toadstool in Dinosaur Land, a prehistoric-themed world filled with dinosaurs and other enemies. Bowser captures Princess Toadstool while she is resting on the beach. When Mario and Luigi wake up, they try to locate her and after hours of searching, they discover a giant egg in the forest. It suddenly hatches, revealing a baby dinosaur named Yoshi, who tells them that the evil Koopalings have also imprisoned their dinosaur friends in the eggs. Mario and Luigi quickly realize that it must be King Bowser and his Koopalings. Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi set out to save Toadstool and Yoshi's dinosaur friends, making their way through Dinosaur Land in search of Bowser and the Koopalings.

Yoshi gives Mario a cape to aid him on their journey. Mario and Luigi continue to pursue Bowser, defeating the Koopalings and saving Yoshi's friends in the process. They eventually reach Bowser's Castle and fight him in a final battle. They send Bowser flying through the sky, saving Princess Toadstool and restoring peace to Dinosaur Land.

Addictive gameplay from Super Mario World

The game has a total of 96 escape levels. The player navigates the game using two game screens: the overworld map and a side-scrolling journey. The overworld map depicts the current world from above, with several paths leading from the entrance of the world to a castle. The paths connect to action boards, fortresses, haunted houses, castles, and other map icons, allowing the player to follow different paths to reach the world's goal. The majority of the gameplay takes place in these linear levels, which are filled with obstacles and enemies, and require the player to progress through the level by dashing, jumping, dodging, or defeating enemies.

A certain number of lives are granted to the player; these lives are lost if the little Mario comes into contact with an enemy, falls into a bottomless pit, is crushed, comes into contact with lava, or runs out of time. The game ends when the player runs out of lives, but they can pick up where they left off by selecting "Continue" from the most recent save point. Each of the seven worlds controlled by one of the Koopalings will have a boss to defeat in the final level. The player also faces off against Bowser in his castle in the seventh and final world. Yoshi, a dinosaur companion that Mario can ride and can swallow most enemies, is introduced in the game. Yoshi can spit out a Koopa and shoot it at enemies if he attempts to eat it or its shell. Yoshi will swallow the shell if the player does not spit it out within a certain amount of time, rendering it useless. Yoshi gains abilities related to the color of the Koopa shell he is holding in his mouth: blue shells make him fly, yellow shells make him release dust clouds that kill enemies in the immediate area, and red shells make him release three fireballs that destroy enemies. In addition, to win the game as quickly as possible, players use secret Star Road routes through finding keys.

Super Mario World Rom achieved many brilliant achievements
